Home Sweet Home
Finnaly i'am back home and in the last three months in Africa was one of the most time in my life eyeopener and has made me to look at things differently. The trip on the whole was good personally and professionaly. I have learned to appreciate all that god has provided us and learnt to appreciate what we have when i came across people who lived on $1 a day it was sad and very depressing to hear several storeis of hardship, how people walk for 3 hrs just to get to work jsut to save the extra money. I'am trully greatfull with what i have and think we should be happy and content with what god has provided with. The world looks like a small villagae now but culturally its a huge huge city it was nice to experiance another culture, work part of the trip was very informative as well on the whole i enjoyed the whole African trip. If its god will i hope to return there one day to the cradle of civilization.

Witchcraft and Voodo Magic
Well this week wemoved home guess what we had a witch dr come and do some crazy stuff to the house before we could move its a tradition, well speaking on this topic i hiked mt mulanje its the tallest peak in southern africa from DRC(dem.rep.of congo) to cape town, its arond 3500M above sea level, we hiked 1500m for about 3 hrs...was fun during the hike our guide asked us to avoide certain paths because they say there are evil sprits around the hills wowo spooky ah then i began to laugh and he tells us that in mt mulanje they unearthed ancient burial grounds and found many anciet rituals being practiced there...and also there are tribals in the mountain....so one lady dissappeared last yr never to be found now this is not a myth or legen...they say she was killed by the spirit..she did not die coz they havent found her body yet...well whathappened to her no one know. Then i got into a conversation with him and he was telling me all the stuff that goes on with witch dr and vodoo magic in africa. Also while in tanzania they was lot of problems over a series of albinos murders the reason ? albinos body parts are used to make a protion when consumed you would become rich they say. So albinos were targeted in and around dar es salam,tanzania....itscrazy ha....ask me in person about all the rest of the stuff i heard about vodoo magic.....its really really crazy.......

Political Turmoil Everywhere
Well well i see that India is at the crossroads again when one colation govt geting toppled by its own supporters. This is like the 3 or 4 time in 1 year this has happened as long as shit like this happens i guess G8 will remain as G8. Why cant politicians do what is good for the country and not for themselves when will they come to understand this. The nuke deal will help India in the best way and will help it to grow i think the left is just shiting around with china and not taking up the nuke deal well politician come its your own people that are suffering. Why cant you atleast fight for something better rather than over a nuke deal. Millions of people in the world and even in india are dying because of basic need like food do we need to fight over nuke deal when there are other problems around. Why cant u fight poverty if you guys want a fight......this is really really shity politics......the stupid chinese and russian had to veto another securty council against zimbabe come on people whatz happening in this world aren't we suppose to look after eachother. I know china wants investments chances in Zim but what will they invest on if all the people are dead ? i think its all POWER people want......i cant stand it!!!

G8 should be G9 or G10
I think its about time India and China become members of the G8 rather than just inviting them as guests we are growing a a greater economic rates than anyother of the 8 members provided we do have problems like poverty and corruption....we are good enough to be there among the bigger bullies...what do yall think

Freedom
I was forced to write this after i read a comment from my uncle about one of my pic's i wrote"thinking about freedom" he had asked me is it freedom from family i had to say family is a gift and a right its something we cannot get freedom from....family is more like a bondage a bondage of love where is the extremes of love on eachother....and i would never want freedom from that bondage of love. I think you miss your family very much only when they are not around and intend to find a bondage of love....
Independence Day

Wild Safari
Well i had my first african safari yesterday was fun saw hippos, crocs, elephats and bucks for the first time i felt like i was in a cage and the animals were roaming free and i knew how it would feel for them to be held in captive in zoo's. It was really fun to see how animals live in their own habitat. Hippos were fun watching and was scared of the crocs they were really close to us and very very huge but we had good guards on our boat not exactly crocodile dundee but they knew what they were doing. We also crossed paths with elephants but we tried not to get them angry. On the whole the day was fun its things like this that make me want to travel more and more. I feel that the travelling i have done is just the begining and would love to travel more........

Repellants and us
Yesterday after i finished reading the bible i was reflecting to my self what i did that day, i also had a thought here in malawi i use repellants to keep the mosquitoes away and use hand sanatisers to keep myself safe. But then i thought what sought of repellant am i using to prevent me from the worldy things and the prince of darkness. We spend our lives in using certain kinds of repellants such as ignorance to evil we turn our back to certain people in trouble me included. The i thought the only repellant that can help us is the bible if we meditate on it and follow the principles inside i think thats the biggest and best repellant of all. Wishes

Zim-Bombs-Away
Hey i feel horrible to see and hear about the turmoil in zimbabwe, i think the international community should step up their effforts. I think personally if there was large reserves of oil, giants would have been more inclined and we would have seen another invasion? Why doesn't growing giants like India china take an active role in international crisis. Does it always have to be the bigger power blocs. I think when a govt has forced its oppostion away from participating in its elections its the end of democracy. Why have the big preachers of democracy turned their back on this nation that was once prosporous. I feel sad and to see the horrid images of torture from zim'bwe.....its only a matter of time. it's only a matter of time that these genocide will grow so bad at soon zimbabwe will be called mugababwe............

Govts way of life
People here love two things...football and polotics. People like american polotics than americans, every asks me if i like Obama or hillary(but now i guess its obama or mc cain), people in developing countries look upto their governments as if they were gods, but governments take advantage, presidents want to serve life time of presidency. Will democracy work every where or is it just for selected countries....people here beleive in democracy but people are scared to speak out. Can there be a time when the whole world is democratic? I think people start to care about who is the president only if they are in utter povertry, countries that have a stable economy dont seem to care who the hell becomes president because they have such a high standard of living. What do you all fell

My day to day life in Blantyre is pretty quite not so high rolling as in DC, the city is like a ghost town after 7, people have a very close knit family life. Its funny because its like hot for me but people here are wearing jacksts cos its their winter, it feels like an american spring. I'am starting to cook....its ediable i think i found out new stuff to cook...selective adaptation?....

Respecting the Dead
Hey i found out that the people of malawi respect the dead a lot. I was walking down a road where a group of ladies were walking together the lady leading the march had a bunch of leaves in her hand. The leave signify that the others behind her are carrying a dead child. I also learned that when there is a death in the neighbourhood people lay down leaves on the sides of the road. People wearing hats must remove them, people on bicycles and motorbikes must get off and push their vechiles and cars must slow down. Untill they have crossed the line of leaves. What a right way to honour the dead.

Xenophobia i thinks its a Mania...
My first day in Jonnesburg....all i hear is people killing their own brothers just because they were from another country. J'burg a strong financial centre for the continent of Africa. I just feel sad that people would profile others on the bases of nationality. People who fought for freedom from aparthid now slaughtering their own brothers. South Africa is so multi-ethic and full of various people. Its not fair to scapegoat a few based on nationality. What does the Govt do to these manicas....why dont they understand that thier attacks are not helping them but to bring their nation down. J'burg the tourist hub for the continent of Africa is in flames. The provience of Gauteng is in flames. What does the international socitey take actions. Do they sit back and watch. Flying over the continent of Africa its a real nice sight huge huge chunks of wasteland roads that have no cars but bicycles....i think i'am in rural India. I think i'am going to enjoy my stay in the dark continent.....

Guns Germs and Steel
The main reason Africa got exploited was that Europeans had, the best weapons around at that time. They had perfect living conditions and were able to cultivate the best crops; Europe was placed so perfectly that it was at a perfect distance from the Equator to have the best climate for crops to grow. As they had good living conditions they had better resources and were able to manufacture guns. So when this was done when they achieved a sustaining society they went to invade other nations. They landed in Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town and parts of South Africa had similar climatic conditions as of Europe so they began to cultivate similar crops and used their guns to overpower the local tribes and took away their lands. Now as the new settlers made their Journey north they came across other tribes which they also began to overpower using their Guns. Now as the settlers started to cultivate they labored hard and found that their crops would die. They constantly became sick and came into contact with diseases that they were not aware of. They used similar farming techniques as they used in Europe, like farming closer to rivers, lakes and ponds but still failed to cultivate healthy crops. But the local African tribes lived a healthy life and had their villages and cultivations on higher grounds. When the settlers started to travel north they were not aware that they were leaving their similar climatic zone and headed closer to the Tropics a climatic zone that is pretty hard to survive. The locals lived on higher grounds away from the water bodies that mosquitoes breed on. So now the settlers started to think and began to use the locals as slaves on their farms. So after the found gold and diamonds in the region, they needed a way to get these resources from the inland to the coast of South Africa to be exported into Europe. So began the great railroad tracks across Africa where steel began to play their major role and a recourse which the Europeans had in plenty. So this is how Guns Germs and Steel played their respective roles in the conquest of Africa. Well taking into the considerations that countries in the tropics are not the strongest in the economic world, but what about Malaysia and Singapore, Singapore considered one of the Tigers from the East has a very high standard of living and great economic strength. How is it possible for countries like Singapore and Malaysia to grown despite having negative geographical locations? These countries in the early 1950-1960 saw to that they had a clean environment free from mosquitoes. Which causes malaria, so does geography play an important role in the economic development of a country. Please let me know your thoughts.
I’m starting my journey on May 21st so will keep you posted on all my experiences in the nations of South Africa and Malawi.

The Onward Journey
Hi yall,
As time draws near, as the clock ticks closer to my journey into the heart of Africa. People call it the cradle of civilization....this journey will test me personally and physically which I'am looking forward to. I personally ask you all to keep me in your prayers. Africa called the Dark Continent has its mysteris and myths. I'am not going to unlock any of them, but all i tend to unlock is my personal experience with people who live in extreme poverty. Poverty cannot be defeated over nights or months it will take years and years of not only hard work but a peaceful co-existence. I'am writing this during a period where 100,000 people were killed by nature’s fury and governments stand separated by their ideals and policies. Again i ask you to check this blog spot and give me your thoughts on my day to day experience in Africa. Stay in touch.
